List of names of the heads of Mwanza Secondary school since 1959 |
It was established in 1959. By then it was called Chopra Secondary school.
This name was changed to Mwanza when it was nationalized in 1966 and J. Elinaza became the first black to be the head of this school.
Formally it was a school for Indian students.
Since its establishment,it has been lead by nineteen heads of school up to now.
When it was started it carried its studies up to form four but since 2001 the A level classes was begun.Now it caries its studies up to form six.
Mwanza Secondary has performed and is still performing well in regional and national examinations.
It is a mixed school.It comprises boys and girls.The A level girls stay in school hostels and the rest are day scholars. In total it has more than two thousands students.
Many outstanding people have received their education at this school.
